2023 – 2024 Emory University International Scholarship Grants in the USA – NEW

Hurray! Are you actively looking for a study grant in the USA? Emory University is dedicated to bringing in a talented first-year class from all over the world. Each year, they provide a select group of international students with need-based financial aid awards.

To be successfully considered for need-based financial aid, please apply under our Regular Decision plan. Interested international students also may apply for merit-based scholarships through the Emory University Scholar programs.

International students with financial difficulties can be considered during Emory’s admissions process. This means that non-citizen and non-permanent resident applicants will have their requests for financial aid and/or their ability to afford an Emory education taken into account when evaluating their applications.

As a result, there are limited funds to assist international students based on need. If you don’t have any other way to pay for college, then financial aid is something you should look into.

About Emory University

Emory University offers partial to full merit-based scholarships as part of the Emory University Scholar Programs. Scholar programs are more than just merit scholarships. They empower students through resources and support to reach their full potential and make an impact on the university, Atlanta, and the world beyond.

Method of Application for Emory University International Scholarship Grants

  1. BY JANUARY 1 Submit the Documentation of Finances or the College Board certification of finances form, in addition to a note or statement from your bank or financial institution as proof of funding. International applicants applying for financial aid do not need to show they have sufficient funds to fully cover their first year at Emory. However, please complete the Documentation of Finances as accurately as possible, noting how much your family is able to contribute to your education, from $0 per year up to the cost of attendance.
  2. BY FEBRUARY 15 Submit the CSS Profile.
  3. BY FEBRUARY 15 Submit a tax return filed in your home country (or a non-tax-filer statement if a tax return is not required) through the College Board’s Institutional Documents (IDOC) Service.

Selection Process

The selection for merit-based scholar programs is administered by the Office of Admission in partnership with esteemed faculty.

Roughly 8,000-10,000 students apply to be Scholars each year. Out of that, 175–200 students are selected as Scholar Finalists. Finalists are required to attend an on-campus Scholars Finalists Visit held in the spring. Finalists are brought to campus at no expense to the student.

Taking place over several days, the visit includes activities and interviews designed to help finalists become better acquainted with Emory University and the distinct opportunities available for them here.

Applicants who are not selected as finalists for a program are still fully reviewed for admission under their selected application plan and will also automatically be considered for other smaller merit-based scholarships.

The Scholar selection process is completely separate from the financial aid process. When a student is eligible for both merit scholarships and financial aid, merit scholarships are awarded first. Students who applied for financial aid may also be eligible for need-based grants and loans if there is a remaining need beyond the merit scholarship award.
